Flag of the Ibira Khaliphate

This is a flag of the Ibira Khaliphate, a nation that features in my upcoming writing project No Rhyme or Reason.

The Ibira Khaliphate is situated in South America (or Al-Janubar as it is known in this world) and is a former colony of the Songhai Empire. Originally part of a larger federation with the other Songhai colonies, they seceded due to irreconcible religious differences ("Only _one_ wife? Not in my state!"), with the local leader declaring himself the new Khaliph over all of Islam, a statement that does not exactly stand up to scrutiny.

Today the nation is wholly isolated, with the dictatorship in its sixth generation and governed according to the ideology of Most Definitely Not Communism (Seriously, Stop Asking).
