My King Sombra Cosplay

This is the cosplay which I have poured a great deal of time and effort into making (seven months, in fact), and given that it won 1st Place at the PonyCon AU Cosplay Competition, I think it was worth it.

The armour is craft foam, which has been painted and silver-leafed. The crown is the same, with the horn being made of a kind of modelling-clay-foam cross (painted red). The cape (which I literally finished the day before the con) is velvet with a satin (that I mistakenly sewed on backwards, but I don't think it detracts much) hemmed with white fur that I coloured in by hand with a marker.

Why King Sombra? 'Cause he's badass and awesome, natch.

It was awesome at the con. Everyone, and I mean _everyone_, wanted a piece of my action (by which I mean to get a photo of me) and I loved every minute of it, particularly as this was my first cosplay ever, and it definitely won't be my last (seriously, I'm already planning for next year).
